Competencies

Disseminating knowledge through oral and written communication is an essential skill in different educational contexts and scholarly fields. As an individual with multiple cultural backgrounds, including Creole and French as my mother tongue and instruction, I had to learn English to pursue my professional life in the USA, where I currently reside. However, being a part of this magnificent doctoral program in education at the University of Montemorelos has exposed me to diverse cultural notions in theory and practice.

One of the unique features of this program is the requirement to learn Spanish, which has been a delightful experience for me. Although I am not yet fluent in Spanish, I have been able to learn and use words that allow me to communicate in short conversations with friends who only speak Spanish. This experience has motivated me to continue learning this wonderful language actively.

Being able to communicate effectively in multiple languages is a valuable asset in today’s globalized world, where diversity is essential. I am grateful to the University of Montemorelos for providing me with the opportunity to develop my language skills and contribute to the dissemination of knowledge in different educational contexts and scholarly fields. Through oral and written communication, I hope to share my research findings and ideas with diverse audiences, contributing to the development of education and society.
