My integration into the doctoral program in business administration at the University of Montemorelos allowed me to understand the importance and the necessity of scientific research. With methology classes and the help of my adviser, Professor Juan Carlos, I was able to develop a thesis on the factors that can influence member retention. Texas conference churches where I work were sampled to conduct the survey. Factors such as leadership, culture, church programs, and evangelism were chosen as independent variables. The results and analysis of the data collected show that retention depends on these factors. I keep in mind that my work is far from perfect, but I already rejoice that this work can be served as a research guide to alleviate this crucial problem in the Seventh-day Adventist Church and even in many institutions struggling to keep their customers.
